I grew up in New Orleans, Louisiana and honestly? If I had my way, I’d probably eat red beans and rice for dinner every night…

with a side of ice cream and Raising Cane’s.


Before photography, I was a childhood teacher and spent years pouring creativity into classrooms. Somewhere along the way, that creativity turned into calligraphy,  a camera in my hand,

and eventually Hilary Mauro Photography.


These days, I specialize in family, newborn, school, and community photography — creating images that feel honest, joyful, emotional, and beautifully real.
